This homeowner in Wilbraham, MA called us after testing the home he was purchasing for radon. His radon level came back to be 4.5 pCi/L, which is higher than the EPA's radon action level of 4 pCi/L. He wanted to reduce his radon levels as much as possible for the health and safety of his family.

We were able to help this customer. We installed a radon mitigation system in his home. We identified a specific closet where the mitigation system would be best installed. We began by drilling the holes in the floor and the hole in the wall for the exterior penetration. We then began installing the pipes and secured them to the wall. The radon mitigation technician installed the manometer on the pipe on the inside of the home. The manometer measures the pressure of the radon in the system, indicating whether or not it is functioning correctly. After that, he went outside to build the rest of the system. He installed the fan on the outside of the home. He sealed around all of the holes that had been drilled for the system. Now, this homeowner has a radon mitigation system designed to keep their levels low! 

This homeowner in Wilbraham, MA after accidentally shutting off her radon fan. She accidentally flipped the switch connected to the fan, and it stopped and would not turn back on. Our radon specialist came out to the home to identify what was going on with her fan, and what she would need. Her fan was broken, and it was unable to be fixed.

We were able to help this customer! We replaced her old, broken fan with a brand new one. We utilize many different radon fans, depending on the specifics of the home. After identifying the perfect fan, we removed the old one. We then installed the new one in its place. We also replaced the manometer on the inside of the home and labeled the radon pipe appropriately. We finally tested the system to ensure it was functioning. Now, the homeowner is very happy! 

An interior wall was exposed to a hot/cold attic so Fogarty's Home Services insulated the exposed wall with SilverGlo and expanded polystyrene foam insulation board with graphite infused in the foam. 

This homeowner in Somers, CT called us hoping we would be able to replace their old, unattractive bulkhead door. They were not interested in having their old one anymore as it did not look the best and was showing its age. 

Luckily, Fogarty's Home Services was able to help this homeowner. We were able to install a beautiful new bulkhead door in their home. We caulked around the edges and installed flashing behind the door to ensure a tight fit.  Combining this with our other solutions ensures that this homeowner will have a safe, warm, and dry basement for years to come!
