One of our trained building scientists noticed she didn't have a basement door suitable to stop the outside elements from coming into her home. Our team got to work ripping out the old framing. After that was done we installed new pressure treated wood so the framing would not rot. once that was done we installed the new steel insulated door, and air sealed the gaps for an air tight seal. Now the basement will stay dryer and warmer for longer.

He was purchasing a home, and the home inspection showed that he had a radon level above the EPA's radon action level of 4 pCi/L. Specifically, the radon level was 4.2 pCi/L. We had the perfect solution for this customer! We installed a radon mitigation system in his home. We identified the specific space where the mitigation system should be installed. After that, we drilled a hole in the floor as well as a hole in the wall for the exterior penetration. We put together the pipes, starting in the floor, and built it out through the exterior penetration to the outside. We secured the pipes to the wall, and then installed the manometer onto the pipe. (A manometer measures the pressure of the radon gas in the system, indicating whether or not the system is functioning). We then went outside to continue building out the system. We installed the fan and continued building out the pipes, securing them to the outside of the home. Our technician then sealed around the holes that had been drilled for the system. Now, the homeowner has a brand new radon system for their home!

The fiberglass batts in the crawl space were sagging and falling due to the humidity problem they were experiencing. He wanted someone to come out and re-insulate and encapsulate under his home. 

We were able to help this customer! One of the solutions we utilized was our CleanSpace™ crawl space encapsulation system. We first insulated the walls using our SilverGlo™ foam insulation. For the floor, we added a dimpled drainage mat to create a thermal break. We then installed TerraBlock™ floor insulation on top of that. Then, we installed a CleanSpace™ crawl space encapsulation liner over that insulation. We fastened it into both the walls and floor to create a permanent solution for this crawl space. We then added two-part expanding spray foam to the rim joist to ensure that the crawl space was covered. Combined with our other solutions, this homeowner will experience less drafts, warmer floors, lower energy bills, and a much more comfortable home!
