This homeowner in Pittsfield, MA reached out to us because he was interested in attic insulation. He had received previous quotes, and the other contractors had suggested that he get his attic insulation completely replaced. Our Home Comfort Specialist came out to the home to evaluate the attic. The homeowner was primarily concerned with the fact that the home was uncomfortable and not energy efficient. He had high energy bills and ice damming. Our Home Comfort Specialist also noted that they had a mold issue stemming from humidity in the attic. 

We had the perfect solution for this customer. We were able to replace the attic insulation with TruSoft™ cellulose insulation. We started by removing the fiberglass batts, putting them into bags and bringing them out of the house. We then went in and air-sealed around all of the points where air leaks up from the home to the attic. We did this using our Zypfoam™ spray foam. Once the attic was air sealed, we used a long hose to blow in TruSoft™ cellulose insulation. TruSoft™ is amazing -- it does not burn, get moldy, or attract pests. The blown-in insulation fills all gaps and oddly shaped voids. The homeowner is now much more comfortable in his home!

This homeowner in Pittsfield, MA reached out to us because he wanted to finish his basement. He knew that he needed to insulate the basement before he had it finished. When our Home Comfort Specialist came out to the home, he found that there was an attached crawl space that needed to be encapsulated before we finished the basement. It also needed to have an entrance framed out. 

We were able to help this customer! One of the solutions we utilized was our CleanSpace™ crawl space encapsulation system. We first insulated the walls using our SilverGlo™ foam insulation. For the floor, we added a dimpled drainage mat to create a thermal break. We then installed TerraBlock™ floor insulation on top of that. Then, we installed a CleanSpace™ crawl space encapsulation liner over that insulation. We fastened it into both the walls and floor to create a permanent solution for this crawl space. We then added two-part expanding spray foam to the rim joist to ensure that the crawl space was covered. Combined with our other solutions, this homeowner will experience less drafts, warmer floors, lower energy bills, and a much more comfortable home!

Total Basement Finishing by Fogarty's Home services remodeled this homeowner's basement after installing dr energy saver basement insulation and waterproofing because the homeowners wanted to have extra space for the kids to play. 

This homeowner in Williamstown, MA called us stating that her home was losing a lot of heat. They had a stone foundation and it was not insulated. Heat moves from more to less - out of a building in winter, and into a building in summer, meaning they needed a barrier. Our Home Comfort Specialist came out to the home and proposed a solution for this customer. This solution was to install open cell spray foam with an additional thermal barrier to maximize the comfort level this homeowner needed.

This open-cell spray foam was sprayed on to the stone walls with special equipment. The foam expands in place where it was sprayed, and air cannot pass through it - stopping air flow through all of the holes and cracks in the stone walls. We then added an additional spray on "intumescent" coating, which provides fire protection and is a thermal barrier. 

Now, this home is more comfortable than ever, and no longer will have heat loss problems!
