This homeowner in Chicopee, MA reached out to us stating that he had water in his finished basement. To his knowledge, this had never happened in the 6 years he had owned the home, and he was very concerned. When he removed the floorboards in his finished basement, he found that there was standing water. He wanted to prevent all forms of water intrusion as soon as possible. When our Home Comfort Specialist met with the homeowners, he performed a full evaluation of the basement space. While there, he found evidence of prior water intrusion, including a mold problem they had. The bottom of the drywall had evidence of water damage as well. 

We were able to help this customer! We began by removing the old, concrete window wells. We then replaced them with our SunHouse™ window enclosures. They feature a white bottom that reflects natural light into the basement. They also have a clear cover that is both sturdy and fitted. This prevents rain and leaves from getting in to the window wells. Leaves had collected for years in the old wells, so this was a welcome change. Our SunHouse™ window enclosures are a beautiful addition to any home. Now, this homeowner is excited to have brand new window enclosures! 

This homeowner in South Hadley, MA called us when she wanted to get her basement insulated. When our Home Comfort Specialist arrived, he noted that there was not a door at the bottom of the basement stairs. These stairs led up to a bulkhead door, and therefore to the outside. This was an issue, as this means that there is no insulation between the stairway and the outside air -- making the entire basement considered "outside" rather than "inside", no matter how much insulation we put in the rest of the basement.

We helped this customer by installing a new door in their home. We built custom framing to fit the dimensions of the doorway in place. Then, we installed a insulated exterior door with weather stripping. Now, the entire basement is "inside" the door instead of outside. No more uncomfortable, cold basement. 

This homeowner in Enfield, CT had single-paned windows which were very drafty in the winter.  She wanted to make her home more energy efficient and comfortable.  Our team installed this beautiful bow window in a custom color to match the outside of her home.  The homeowner was thrilled with the new look!  She is looking forward to a more comfortable home this winter and reduced heating costs.

This homeowner in Enfield, CT was having issues with drafts in their home. Old metal framed, single pane windows allow the heat from inside the home escape both through the glass and the thermally conductive metal. A lot of air is also able to leak into the home.
