This homeowner in Springfield, MA called us hoping to get his attic insulation removed. He wanted to have an electrician do some work in his home, including in the attic. To do that, though, he needed all of the fiberglass insulation removed from his attic. The insulation was blown-in fiberglass, with some additional plastic-wrapped batts of fiberglass insulation added on top of some areas.
We were able to help this customer. We first bagged the batt insulation and removed it from the home. After that, we were able to use a large vacuum to remove the loose fiberglass as well as the leftover pieces from the batt insulation. The hose from the vacuum was routed out a window and into our truck, where the loose insulation was bagged and sealed. Now, we will be able to dispose of the old, dirty insulation, and the homeowner will be able to do the necessary work in his home before re-insulating his attic!
