This homeowner in Northampton, MA reached out to us hoping that we would be able to help her finish her basement. She wanted to finish her basement to accommodate her family and add more living space.
Fogarty's Home Services was up to the task! We first demolished and removed what was in the basement -- including removing the old insulation. We then re-insulated the basement. We built out the framing, installed the electrical and plumbing, and then added our Everlast™ wall panels. We finished the stairs as well. We then installed our ThermalDry™ elite plank flooring in the color "espresso", our darkest color. We replaced the old basement windows with brand new ones that were much more energy efficient. We added a drop ceiling and ceiling lights. We then installed a SaniDry™ Sedona dehumidifier, put on the finishing touches, and we were done! Now, this homeowner is so excited to have a beautiful new basement!
This homeowner in Northampton, MA reached out to us because she was interested in crawl space insulation. She had a crawl space that she wanted reinsulated due to cold floors and musty odors coming from the crawl space.
We had the perfect solution for this customer. In this solution, SilverGlo™ foam insulation board is installed across the bottom of the floor joists with special long screws and 3” washers, SilverGlo™ is expanded polystyrene foam with graphite infused into the foam, which bumps up the insulation (“R”) value by 24% over standard EPS foam. Further, SilverGlo™ has a radiant barrier to reflect heat, so the insulation isn’t doing all the work by itself. All seams are sealed. Result - Much warmer floors, less drafts and more comfortable rooms, quieter home, lower fuel and electric bills.
This homeowner in Northampton, MA called after having a water problem in her home. It was more severe than it ever had been before - she normally got puddles, but this was "everywhere", according to the homeowner. It was directly after a period of heavy rain, as well. She wanted to prevent this from ever happening again.
We had the perfect solution for this customer. We installed a SuperSump® sump pump system into the basement. It features a sturdy liner, airtight lid, 1/3 hp cast iron pump which can discharge up to 2200 gallons per hour, 8 feet high, and a stand to keep the pump out of silt and sediment. A WaterWatch® Alarm System alerts the homeowner to pump failure before the basement floor gets wet. We also installed a perimeter drainage system that connects to the pump. The homeowner is very excited to have a new sump pump for her home!
Basement windows inserts were installed and sealed air tight.
This homeowner in Windsor Locks, CT had just purchased their home and knew there was work to be done with the insulation. Cape Cod style homes often have poorly insulated kneewall spaces, and we can help.
The old insulation was dirty, ineffective, and falling apart so we started by removing it. Once the space was clean, we installed our SilverGlo graphite infused EPS foam with radiant barrier to keep the heat from the roof out and the heat from the home in. Lastly, we sealed the spaces between the boards.
Thanks to Dr. Energy Saver by Eco Energy Solutions, this home is far more energy efficient and comfortable.
